Dear Nick,
First of all I'd like to start off by saying how much i enjoy your weekly newsletter [and sorry for the length of this email!!]. It's a pleasure to read and has changed my approach to betting forever. The day after your second report on how to determine the "real going" of a racecourse I picked a 10 to 1 winner solely by the insight you had given me in that article. It was a fantastic feeling to find a winner in such a way that was oblivious to me 24 hours earlier, and for that, I thank you.

Hi Nick, your advice is invaluable. Many thanks, Kev (Isle of Arran)

Hello Nick,
Please keep up the good work, it's the only way we mug punters will ever learn.

Hi Nick,
I've been receiving your horse racing focus e-mails for about a couple of months now and have really enjoyed reading your views and analysis.
Having previously been interested in 'the horses' in my younger days (25yrs ago) and not knowing anything then that made any sense of what info was relevant to backing winners ,I now find myself enthralled in the many different factors that need to be considered when looking for winners.I was wondering if you could explain a bit more on the OR`s of horses in a future issue.(Sorry if you have already covered this subject in previous issues) as I keep hearing the term "winning mark" and cant quite get my head round this.
Many Thanks

Hi Nick,
Just a quick note to say, as a new subscriber, how much i enjoy youremail service.
I have recently ordered your lay beting manual and look forward very eagerly to its arrival and putting it to work.
Just a couple of quick q's if i may. One thing i am a bit uncertain about! I recently had your email ref ''the coffee break millionaire'' (by - i think Bill Straford) firstly i have to say at present there is no way i could afford the fee, but i was just wondering if he would be one of the 2 or so services that you review in the second 1/2 of the book? Second, if i follow your methods (WITHOUT subscribing to any of the 20 services - at least initially to keep my costs down) - am i right in assuming that i will be able to make daily selections IN ADVANCE from morning nespapers - ie that i DON'T need to be on during the day in the live markets, which would not be possible as i work!
Many thanks for reading this, best regards, John Unitt, 16 July 2008
Hello Nick,
Many thanks for your weekly emails. It is a pleasure and such a change to read articles written by some one who clearly knows what they are talking about!
I was thinking about buying your book "Join the lay betting revolution and win big money from losers." Then along came your recommendation for Bill Stratford"s "Lazy lay gold system." Please could you explain the difference between the two publicatoins and why I should consider paying £197 for the "Lazy lay gold system" when you are offering your book for £77?
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in anticipation of your reply.
Best Wishes,

Hi Nick
This is a response you requested for HRF. And it will surprise you!
Perhaps nothing should surprise anybody about anything thse days. Firstly I am 82 and have been retired since 1985. So although it would appear I have plenty of time to do anything I wish, this is far from the truth.
Time goes by like lightning and the older I get the faster it goes. Not because I'm bored - just the opposite. I read a great deal - both on and off the web -and your HRF is valued highly, as well as the other sports emails I receive from your organisation.
And here's the first surprise: I rarely use the information, but I want it none the less. It's always good to know if there is a way to beat the bookie! I have never been an enthusiastic backer but I'm always in favour of having constructive information - as long as it is not too expensive.
Yes, I did back Federer - couldn't lose, could he!
So, back to your questions. I can't answer the enquiries about the content of the manual because I haven't seen it. It's question of cost versus usage. I would be very pleased to USE it daily, but I know full well that reading the Telegraph & Independent, reading my mail, then being encouraged to shop, answering my other emails, would reduce USAGE time. Sounds ridiculous, but those are the facts!
I'll be positive. I suppose I would like someone to do the work for me on commission, with money on deposit.
Yes, I'm on a pension but I think this kind of approach would work for me.
That's it. Hope this is of some use to you.

Your regular articles are brilliant and aimed at the like of me who dabbles and wants to learn more. Your articles assume you could be a beginner and that is what I like.
I am an avid fan and would not mind paying for a more in depth service
Any suggestions
Best regards

hello,
nice to hear from you,its good to hear from someone who is interested in a little after sale feedback,so
straight on to the answers....what I liked most about the manual;it apeared to be very well researched, and I personaly liked the witty no silly boasting style of writing... the best bit of advice...was the in depth ratings on the different laying services, for anyone (like me) who is not a gambler and was trying this out for the first time (me again) this advice undoubtedly made the difference between immediate failure and the oportunity to make it work...was it easy enough for a novice to understand....yes...I am one and I can find no fault....and believe me , I am not a natural gambler, but I was able to follow everything without any problems.
There was nothing that I did not like about the manual,it was well produced and I had no intention of sending it back for a refund...as I have said I am not a natural gambler ,the real interest for me is that uk gambling profits are TAX FREE.
so thanks for one of the best manuals I have ever bought, and good luck
karl
Dear Nick
if there is one thing that I anticipate dropping into my mail box then I have to say it's your HRF email.
I'm a gambler at heart and have always known it. Over the years I hate to think of the number of foreign holidays I have paid for bookies.
I've had the occasional good day where everything has fallen just right but until I started to read your stuff I couldn't have told you what I did to select my bets!
I was one of the 'mugs'. If it was breathing I was betting on it, but with hindsight most of my selections were just about to draw their last anyway.
So back to your emails.
Informative, thought provoking, honest and yes even very well written (that writing course did the trick then!).
I'm starting to get some structure and direction to my betting only thanks to you, long may you continue and a very big thank you.

Hi Nick
I am relatively new to Horse race betting,so the easier to understand your information the better. I have thoroughly enjoyed your e mail info/advice so far.
I particularly thought the 'Dutching' advice was very informative, and I will
use this advice forthwith. Keep up the good work ( I don't suppose you
can give me a Dead cert for the National?)
Regards
Derek Henson
Nick
I have only been the recipient of your commentaries for a couple of weeks but have enjoyed them.
I like to go to the races as a social event but know nothing about the mechanics of racing ,you do and I am very happy that you share it with novices such as I .
My betting methodology was whether the horses name sounded interesting !! .With your help I might get a few winners ! I am very pleased to have the advice of someone who knows the system and has the time to analyse the form .Thank you very much

Nick,
Just keep going. Focus is great. I've always thought each way betting was useless
Until your Festival advice when I first tried it. GREAT !
Send me FOCUS as often as you like---it's great as it is.
Many Thanks
John Simpson
Hello,
Just a few comments about Horseracing Focus
I like about it is the concentration on trends - you explain/justify why certain horses are likely to perform in certain ways.
I've never betted on horses (and haven't bet much on anything) before and find it easy to understand.
I like your realistic/sensible approach that of course we can't always make profits but the important thing is to be able to take the losses and make profits in the long term.
Thank you,
Catherine Turner
Hi Nick,
